Liverpool’s qualification for UEFA Champions League next season dimmed further after they suffered a 3-0 defeat to Brighton in the English Premier League on Saturday at the Falmer Stadium.

Brighton came out brilliant, dominating and playing with much vigour from the blast of the whistle.

However, Liverpool were lucky to go into the first half break level against the home side.

Early into second half, Solly March broke the deadlock, putting Brighton ahead of Liverpool in the 46th minute.

Seven minutes later, March doubled Brighton’s lead, leaving Liverpool two goals behind.

Jürgen Klopp’s team put up no serious fight as Brighton continued dominating the game until Danny Welbeck made it three for the home side.

All does not look alright for Liverpool as they could not muster a consolation goal in 90 minutes.

Brighton are 7th on the EPL log with 30 points in 18 games, and Liverpool 8th with 28 points in 18 games.
