Ebonyi Guber: APC candidate defeats PDP’s Odii in eight of 10 LGAs announced by INEC

The All Progressives Congress (APC) won eight out of the 10 local government areas of Ebonyi in results announced so far by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Sunday.
The major contenders in the governorship race are Francis Nwifuru of the APC, Ifeanyi Odii of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Bernard Odo of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA).
APC won Ebonyi, Ivo, Ezza North, Izzi, Afikpo South, Ohaozara, Ohaukwu, and Abakaliki, while PDP won Ezza South and APGA Onicha.
Ebonyi has 13 local government areas.
The state Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC), Onyeka Ugochi, said that the remaining LGAs of Ikwo, Afikpo North and Ishielu would be announced when the results are ready.
