The Nigeria Cricket Federation (NCF) has postponed its fourth National PwC/NCF U-17 Championship, citing the forthcoming national elections.

A statement on Tuesday by Emeka Igwilo, the general manager of the federation, stated that the tournament was scheduled for February 15 to 19 in Abuja but was postponed, with a new date to be communicated later.

“The postponement was due to the current situation across the country and the national elections coming up.

“We apologise for any inconveniences the postponement might have caused,” he said.

Igwilo, however, added that the federation was poised to ensure that cricket development continued to get the growth and attention it deserved in the country and beyond.
