The event was held on August 12, but the empowerment programme titled, “Youth digital pathway for sustainable development,” took place on Monday in Ilorin.

Addressing the participants via zoom, Mr Mustapha lauded the youths for seizing the opportunity which would add to their skills and impact their lives positively.

Mr Mustapha, who is also the Turaki of Ilorin, emphasised the need for the youth to leverage opportunities in the digital economy to attain self-sufficiency.

He reiterated his commitment to uplifting young people in Kwara Central and Nigeria at large.

He said, “I commend the resilience of Nigerian youths and their accomplishments in various fields. Their significant contributions to national and global progress are greatly appreciated.’’.

He also advised the youth to channel their knowledge and skills into ventures that would develop society and country at large.

Represented by Abdulkareem Alabi, the senator said that the training was the second in the series by the foundation.

He said the skills acquired would add value to the participants, and commended the large turnout.
