Pep Guardiola wins Premier League Manager of the Season award

Guardiola, who led Manchester City to its third consecutive EPL victory this season, has won the award for a fourth time.

For leading Manchester United to another English Premier League title this season, Pep Guardiola has won the Premier League’s Barclays Manager of the Season award.

The Premier League announced Guardiola winner of this season’s award in a statement on Tuesday night.

“Pep Guardiola has been named the 2022/23 Barclays Manager of the Season,” the statement reads in part.

City’s coach was quoted in the statement to have said, “I’m delighted, it’s an incredible honour. I promise you next season we will be there to fight again to dignify this league as much as possible.”

Guardiola led City to another EPL victory this season, winning the coveted trophy three consecutive times.

Guardiola won the award for a fourth time, having won it in 2017/18, 2018/19 and 2020/21.

City won the title this season with 89 points in 38 games, edging out Arsenal with five points.
