The police said the crown has been recovered but the staff of office remains missing.
The restriction of human and vehicular movement between 7:00 p.m. and 6.00 a.m. was imposed on September 18, as an immediate response to cult clashes in Sagamu town.
“Whoever is dealing with cultists and criminals must not compromise.”
Investigation, according to the police boss, is still ongoing into the killings.
“People who saw him raised the alarm, which made him run. But how far can a 53-year-old man run?”
The teacher had told the police that he had prevented one of the students from being involved in malpractice during an examination in the school.
The state police public relations officer, SP Omolola Odutola, confirmed the incident in a statement in Abeokuta on Thursday.
“He has on the job garnered both administrative and operational experiences over the years,” Ms Odutola said.
