Mr Hassan said that the suspects had partaken in several kidnappings in the North-West zone of the country.
He said the police, Abraka (Delta), vigilantes and a hunters group raided the hideout of the kidnap gang following credible information received by the police.
The Maru LGA is one of the hotbeds of terrorism and banditry in Zamfara.

Mr Sa’ad said that an AK-47 rifle and a mobile phone were recovered from the deceased as exhibits while the corpse would be deposited at the morgue.
“In Kano state, two suspects were arrested while recovered items were a pistol, 11 mobile phones, two hand grenades and one fully charged AK-47 magazine.”
