Lagos and several other states across Nigeria have reported a spike in cholera cases, marking one of the most severe outbreaks in recent history.
NCDC said that despite efforts to combat the Lassa fever outbreak, challenges have persisted.
Also, among five health workers confirmed infected in the line of duty, one of them died.
The NCDC says that the country logged 636 additional infections on Friday, 117 fewer than the 753 cases recorded on Thursday.
The disease control office said the new infections were recorded in 23 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
The latest national COVID-19 tally now stands at 78,434 cases, 68,303 discharged and 1,221 deaths.
