Mr Fagbemi clarified that none of the beneficiaries have been released from custody.
The ADC’s statement came after Mr Tinubu’s government released a list of pardoned convicts, including those jailed for murder, fraud, and drug trafficking.
The list of beneficiaries of state pardon was drafted by the Presidential Advisory Committee on the Prerogative of Mercy.
Mr Lawan described the gesture as “fatherly, compassionate, and decisive,” noting the president pulled him back from the harshness of yesterday’s cold.
Mr Onanuga described the decision as part of Mr Tinubu’s broader justice and human rights reform agenda.
The court gave the ruling in its lead judgment read by Justice Tijani Abubakar on Friday.
