Mr Ortom had, on April 13, called on the federal government to postpone the planned census until adequate security was guaranteed in the country.
He said that he decided to withdraw the petition despite glaring electoral malpractices.
Mr Tunde, who died on October 21, 2022, in a London hospital at 51, had battled cancer for over a year.
“There is hardly a day that I don’t call or speak to one of them because, in politics, you go with the people you share things in common.”
The governor faulted Mr Atiku’s claim that he issued a blanket condemnation of all Fulani people as bad, saying he never said that.
Mr Ortom signed the budget on Friday in Makurdi, promising “not do anything outside of the provisions of the budget.”
