Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa has asked for an understanding of the state’s civil servants over the delay in paying June’s salary.
“The decision is part of efforts to decongest some of the overburdened Correctional Centres as Nigeria marks Democracy Day.”
The curfew will last between 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. until it is reviewed.
“The development is to enable the Muslim faithful to partake in tafsir sessions during the period,” the governor’s spokesman said.
Governor Ahmadu Fintiri said the hunters behaviours was giving room for residents of the state to suspect their motives and intentions.
