Gaza’s children and young people are becoming increasingly desperate for food supplies, according to the UN’s children’s relief organisation, UNICEF.
Over 423,000 people have already been displaced, of whom more than 270,000 have taken refuge in UNRWA shelters.
UNICEF worries that without greater action and investment, “we are facing the death of children on a scale not seen in half a century.”
This figure is 173,000 more than during the 2011 famine in the country, according to the UN.
