The police command in Jigawa has arrested a 37-year-old man for the murder of his parents in the Gagarawa local government area.
”Unfortunately, the canoe capsized due to the rain and wind storm. Seven people were rescued while the others, Imran Rabiu, aged 12 and Tasiu Rabiu, aged 14, two were not.”
The police had received a credible intelligence report before raiding the criminals’ hideout at Nisan Marke village, he said.
“Police officers and officers of other security agencies attached to VIPs who use spy number plates are to ensure compliance with the IGP’s directive or risk being arrested.”
The police spokesman explained that the suspects, residents in Hadejia town, stole the money and phone from the victim at Baturiya market.
Mr Shiisu said the suspects, aged between 18 and 52, were arrested in Sara and Old Gwaram town on June 6, at about 2:00 p.m.
The accident involved a Lexus, whose driver, alleged to have been carrying eight passengers, lost control, as a result of which the vehicle somersaulted.
The Jigawa police command has cautioned car owners over the rise in cases of car theft by unknown persons.
Ladi Anndu, 35, died after she was attacked by unknown person(s), in Hadejia Local Government Area of the state.
The victim, who was earlier reported missing, was later said to have hung himself to a tree using his trousers on Monday.
