Mr Freeman said, “Nigeria has been on the receiving end of terrorism from Iran.”
He said Halevi was a good manager who designed the style and laid the groundwork for Nigerian football.
Mr Freeman said this at a programme titled ‘Co-existence and Dialogue among Abrahamic Faiths’, held on Thursday in Abuja.
”I must express our thanks to President Trump for his steadfast support, courage in recognising truths others ignored,” said the envoy.
The envoy commended Mr Trump’s friendship with Israel and his courage in standing with Israel.

Mr Freeman stressed that Israel had the authority and responsibility to prevent the entry of those intending to cause harm.
The Israeli Ambassador to Nigeria, Michael Freeman, disclosed this in Abuja against the backdrop of the Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary symposium.
Mr Freeman alleged, “Iran’s leaders are also working to destabilise Western Africa, including here in Nigeria.’’
“As a close friend of Nigeria, Israel seeks to provide aid to those who need it the most,” Mr Freeman said.
