Mr Barikor said that plastic waste management in the country had become a national priority.
“The enforcement action was taken as a necessary first step to safeguard lives and restore environmental integrity,” said the NESREA boss.
Ms Ejiofor said they were also sealed for not having requisite environmental documents.
The federal government inaugurated an inter-agency committee to ensure an e-waste-free environment at the end of the digital switchover in Nigeria.
“These facilities now have a better process of carrying out an environmental audit of their facilities and have applied for environmental operating permits.”
