Mr Belgore said, “This decision aligns with the terms and conditions outlined in paragraph 2 of the provisional offer of allocation letter issued to beneficiaries.’’
According to him, the federal government aims to fix housing shortages.
The housing ministry received 8,925 applications, comprising 1294 outright payments, 2,408 mortgages and 2,184 rent-to-own.
The permanent secretary said there are no completed houses in Abia, Lagos, Bayelsa, Rivers states and the FCT.
Mr Gyado said the renewed hope cities and estates were introduced to make houses more affordable to the masses.
On August 13, Rivers became the 35th state to provide land for the federal mass housing programme, leaving only Lagos.
