Football fans in Abuja have urged the Super Eagles and their crew to step up their game ahead of the 2023 AFCON and the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
The communique stated that an abridged league format of four conferences of A, B, C and D in the 2023/2024 league season was adopted.
Sports minister John Owan-Enoh says Nigeria will present a bid to host the 2027 AFCON at the CAF executive committee meeting in Cairo on Wednesday.
“Going into the next AFCON (2023), we still won’t have any Nigerian official; I am going to interrogate this matter.”
The NFF boss told journalists after the visit that the federation will leave no stone unturned to ensure victory for the team.
Peseiro had steered the Super Eagles through the qualifiers and to an AFCON ticket with a match to spare.

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has confirmed payments of match bonuses and allowances for the Super Falcons.
The Falcons are now entitled to $60,000 each for reaching the round of 16.
