Specifically, the market capitalisation, which opened at N79.803 trillion, added 340 billion or 0.43 per cent to close at N80.143 trillion.
The market breadth also closed negative, with 32 stocks declining and 28 advancing.
The Nigerian Exchange Ltd. (NGX) saw its market capitalisation fall to ₦72.497 trillion from ₦72.680 trillion recorded on Monday.
Market capitalisation rose by N224 billion, or 0.32 per cent, to close at N71.118 trillion, compared to N70.894 trillion recorded on Tuesday.
The NGX market capitalisation, which opened at N59.004 trillion, dropped by N69 billion or 0.12 per cent, closing at N58.935 trillion.
Market breadth also closed slightly negative, with 21 losers and 20 gainers on the floor of the exchange.
A total of 636.50 million shares worth N12.77 billion was exchanged in 9,744 deals.
Investors gained N62 billion or 0.11 per cent as the market capitalisation opened at N56.608 trillion and closed at N56.670 trillion.
