Mr Onyeama on Saturday had said that he raised the issue with the Polish Ambassador to Nigeria, Joanna Tarnawska, and had been assured that the situation would be addressed.
The Buhari regime had earlier told Nigerians in Ukraine they are on their own. The president has yet to issue any statement about the unfolding crisis.
