“We need to pray that the economy of Lagos is not run aground by the corrupt hegemony,” Mr Adediran said.
The governor admonished Muslims to emulate the good virtues of the prophet, including honesty, humility, peaceful coexistence and love for one another.
The ruling party asked Muslims to also pray for harmony, development, and progress, security and good governance in Nigeria.
“Also as a Muslim I will never accept anything that will harm my religion whether I am in government or not.”
The special task force, Operation Safe Haven (OPSH), has warned youths to shelve their plans to hold a mass procession celebrating the Maulud in Jos.
