He said the operations targeted terrorists’ enclaves, logistics hubs and fortified hideouts.
Mr Ejodame said the airstrike was conducted at about 1205 hours on April 1 by the air component of the Joint Task Force North East.
He said the aircraft executed multiple coordinated strike runs on the camp.
Mr Ejodame stated, “The synergy between air and land components made the operation exceptional.’’
Mr Ejodame said the operation was conducted on Monday.
Mr Ali said, “Their elimination marks a major breakthrough in the ongoing military campaign to restore peace in the North-West.’’
According to him, some of the victims who escaped provided testimonies detailing their daring flight to freedom.
Mr Akinboyewa said that the air component, acting swiftly on the intelligence, planned and carried out a successful airstrike to neutralise the threat.
He said feedback from local sources revealed several of the terrorists were eliminated as a result of the strike.
Mr Gebkwet said the air strikes were conducted on August 2.
