Mr Idris-Abdullahi stated that the suspects were apprehended shortly after committing the offence in Yunfawa village, Dawakin Tofa LGA.
The police command in Edo says it has arrested two suspected criminals who claimed to be hunters.
He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to pursuing the matter diligently to its logical conclusion.
The victims were aged between 18 and 35 years.
The police spokesperson said credible intelligence led to the suspects’ arrest, adding they were found in possession of the stolen vehicles.
The commander of the corps, Adetunji Adeleye, said Mr Ogungbemi, 29, allegedly confessed to volunteering as an informant.
The suspects were said to belong to a four-man kidnapping gang terrorising Benin and its environs.
NDLEA chair Buba Marwa commended the officers in Lagos, Kano, Abia, Benue, Osun and Edo commands for the arrests and seizures.
Some residents of Guzape reported suspicious activities at the site, noting that the minors made a nightly visit to the building.
Mr Edafe said, “These three suspects operate in two folds.’’
