The re-elected president of the Nigeria Cricket Federation, Uyi Akpata, has unveiled a 10-point agenda aimed at strengthening cricket development in the country.
Mr Akpata said Tuesday in Abuja that he had no doubt the sport would make a podium finish in March.
Nigeria had earlier beaten Brazil in their first game at the tournament by eight wickets and the game on Friday was no different.
“The next edition will see eight teams competing, and we expect that it would only get better for women’s cricket in the continent.”
The tournament is expected to end on April 4.
Only two slots are up for grabs in the 11-nation tournament slated to begin Thursday, September 9.
