Plans are underway to build Vesico Vaginal Fistula (VVF) Centre and the Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC) in Zamfara.
The police command in Zamfara said its tactical team killed two bandits and repelled an attack on a community in the Tsafe council area.
He also promised to prioritise projects that would tackle unemployment, poverty and insecurity.
The Zamfara Anti-thuggery Committee says the legislature established it to fight political thuggery, drug abuse and violent crimes among youths.
“They, however, reduced the amount to N5 million. We are still on it. The leadership of the NMA is working with relevant authorities to ensure the safe release of the victim.”
Emir of Zurmi, Atiku Abubakar and Emir of Dansadau, Hussaini Umar, were deposed on Wednesday for their alleged role in banditry.
The support is to address the issue of over 600,000 IDPs in camps in the state and over 186 households fleeing from bandits.
Bandits in Zamfara were said to have rejected an olive branch extended to them by the state.
Governor Bello Matawalle of Zamfara has appealed to residents to intensify prayers for God’s intervention to end banditry in the state.
Mr Matawalle will formally defect to APC on Tuesday after securing the governorship seat via a Supreme Court judgement in favour of PDP in 2019.
