Taraba Assembly elects new speaker as Albasu Kunini resigns
Albasu Kunini, the speaker of the Taraba State House of Assembly, on Wednesday resigned from his position.
He became the speaker in December 2019.
Mr Kunini, who represents Lau state Constituency, said his resignation was on personal grounds. He thanked the assembly members for their support.
Kizito Bonzena, a member representing Zing state Constituency, was unanimously elected as the new speaker.
Mr Bonzena was the chief whip of the house before his new elevation.
