Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala has entered the final round of the race to select the next director-general of the World Trade Organisation, Bloomberg reported on Wednesday.

The business magazine said Nigeria’s former finance minister would face South Korean Yoo Myung-hee after candidates of the United Kingdom, Kenya and Saudi Arabia were eliminated.

The two candidates will be unveiled by the selection committee at the WTO on Thursday, Bloomberg reported. A winner will emerge on November 6, marking the first time that the world trade body will be led by a woman.

Ms. Yoo is South Korea’s trade minister with years of experience in trade connections and bilateral deals.
