2027: Tinubu goofs, addresses himself as governor seeking second term

President Bola Tinubu, on Wednesday, suffered a gaffe, referring to himself as a governor seeking a second term during his speech at the inauguration of the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential campaign council for the 2027 election in Abuja.
“… In recognition of the director general of the presidential campaign council that will bring Governor Bola Tinubu back for second time,” Mr Tinubu said.
Mr Tinubu was a two-term governor of Lagos State from 1999 to 2007.
The president’s gaffe is reminiscent of his several campaign outings in 2022 and 2023.
In 2023, Mr Tinubu charged Nigerians to vote for “PDAPC” and, on another occasion, said: “A town hall, different from balablu-blu-bulaba.”
