How show promoter duped me in Italy: Davido

Popular artist Davido came online to call out a show promoter for fleecing him of his appearance fee after selling thousands of tickets for the Venice show on Saturday.
Late Saturday, the “Champion Sound” took to his Instagram to berate the unnamed promoter for failing to pay his balance after making sacrifices to fulfill his side of the deal.
“I fly private 90% of the time, but owing to logistical concerns, we were unable to obtain a landing permission in time,” Davido narrated his ordeal. “As a result, I made the decision to fly here in almost three parts.”
“When we arrive, we discover that the promoter has failed to fulfill his own half of the arrangement,” he said, expressing his displeasure with the situation.
Though he went to perform at the packed show, Davido said he did so because he was mindful that many of his fans had travelled long distances and expended their resources just to see him perform.
“Every day, we overwork our bodies, sweating and crying to keep up and give these events for our fans, only for people to take our craft and hard work for granted,” Davido stated.
