I’ve accepted to serve as Makinde’s deputy chief of staff: Ademola Ojo
Ademola Ojo, a former Chairman, Association of Local Government of Nigeria, Oyo Chapter, has accepted the appointment offered him by Governor Seyi Makinde.
Following his appointment on Friday as Mr Makinde’s Deputy Chief of Staff, Mr Ojo told journalists on Friday in Ibadan that it was in the interest of the Ibarapa political zone.
Mr Ojo is a two-term Chairman of Ibarapa Central Local Government and a 2019 House of Representatives candidate under the All Progressives Congress (APC).
He said the appointment was a welcome development for the people of Ibarapa, who had already been complaining of political marginalisation.
Mr Ojo said that the appointment was not only coming to the zone, but with Governor Makinde’s pledge to execute people-oriented projects in the area.
He thanked the governor for the appointment, promising that he, with the support of Ibarapa people, would reciprocate the gesture during the 2023 election.
