Transport minister seeks works ministry’s collaboration to fix Tin-Can, Apapa roads
The Minister of Transportation, Mu’azu Sambo, says he would liaise with his works and housing ministry counterpart, Babatunde Fashola for the repair of access roads around Tin-Can and Apapa ports.
Mr Sambo who was on an inspection tour of facilities at the ports lamented the deplorable states of the roads.
“Unfortunately, the things we have to do are not only those for the Ministry of Transportation.
“You saw when we got down at Ijora, at the beginning of Ijora Causeway, we had to look at how bad the road was.
“So, we’re going to talk to our brothers and sisters at the Federal Ministry of Works and Housing, synergize with them and ensure that the road is more motorable once again,” Mr Sambo said.
The minister also visited the NPA facility with special interest in its ultra modern simulation centre and the Ebute-Metta train station.
