Ogun government, on Monday, said it would ensure massive infrastructural development in primary and secondary schools across the state.

Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Abayomi Arigbabu, stated this while monitoring the resumption of schools across the state for the 2022/2023 academic session.

Mr Arigbabu explained that he and his team had gone around to monitor the level of preparedness as schools resumed the new academic session.

He said the visit was to ascertain the infrastructure needed to be put in place by the state government.

The commissioner pointed out that some of the schools had forwarded records of their infrastructural data to his ministry, stressing that the government needed to find out what should be done in some of the schools.

Mr Arigbabu, who stated that the government was committed to revitalising the education sector, added that education remained the bedrock of any country.

In their remarks, the principal of Remo Secondary School (Senior), Olubunmi Shuaibu, and her counterpart in Agunbiade Victory High School, Christianah Odeyele, said that the schools had resumed fully and were ready to ensure smooth teaching and learning activities for the session.

Other schools visited in the Ijebu axis included Molipa High School, Our Saviour Anglican Primary School, Italowajoda, Wesley Primary School, Moslem Primary and Comprehensive High School, Ijebu-Ode.

The team also visited Agunbiade Victory High School, Abeokuta.
