The All Progressives Congress (APC) membership registration and revalidation exercise in Oke-Ogun area of Oyo State has turned violent, leaving several people injured and hospitalised.

The violence is said to have erupted due to clash of interest among various factions of the party with steep divisions.

One of the factions, SENACO, said to be loyal to former governor Ajimobi was accused of removing names of members of other factions, the Lam Adesina camp and the PDP returnees from leadership and coordinating positions.

Police in Oyo says it is not aware of such an incident and the APC spokesman in Oyo did not reply to messages sent to him as at the time of filing this report.
