PSG dressing room filled with egos: Coach

PSG head coach, Christopher Galtier, has admitted that the Parisian club has top players with egos but reiterated that the dressing room is a pleasant one.
According to a Spanish tabloid, El Confidencial, things are not going too well for young talisman Mbappe in the PSG dressing room.
Mbappé, 23, landed himself a bumper contract renewal in the summer which made him the club’s top earner by far. The earning is believed to be one cause of friction between him and his teammates.
One of Galtier’s biggest challenges since taking over from the erstwhile coach, Pochettino, is managing the relationship between Neymar and Mbappe.
Mbappe stated in early September before a Champions League game against Juventus at the Parc des Princes that “there are moments when we are the best friends in the world and others when we talk less, but there is a lot of respect,” when asked about his relationship with Neymar.
Neymar, after Brazil outclassed Ghana by 3-0 in Le Havre last week Friday, was questioned about his relationship with Mbappe. He replied “with Kylian?” and then left the interview area rolling his eyes.
Speaking at the pre-match press conference ahead of PSG’s Ligue 1 game against OGC Nice this weekend, Galtier said; “With every passing day and everything I have experienced in the dressing room as the coach of PSG, it has all been normal things that have happened in the dressing room of PSG.
“Nothing has surprised me, nothing has shocked me. The players want to achieve success together and the players are in competition. Sometimes, that is linked to their performances. We have top players here with top personalities, egos, but this is also a pleasant dressing room to be part of.
“I accept there is a difference between what you hear and what you notice based on images from training or something in matches or statements, but that is the reality of the dressing room. We are doing well together,” he concluded.
Galtier will be banking on his three forwards including Messi to score against his former employers when they welcome them on Saturday. PSG failed to score in three meetings against OGC Nice last season. Twice in the league and once in their French cup exit.
