Police investigating boy’s death after injections: Hundeyin

The police command in Lagos has begun an investigation into the death of a boy who died after he was given injections in a hospital in the Ogombo area of Lagos.
Police spokesman Benjamin Hundeyin confirmed this on Thursday.
Mr Hundeyin said the police got information about the incident, but no one had made a report officially concerning the case.
“Yes, we are aware of the case. The father of the deceased came to the station but refused to write a statement. The hospital staff also came to the station without making any statement,” explained the police officer. “For the benefit of all, they were transferred to the state CID for proper investigation.”
A man was crying in a video complaining of how a nurse gave four injections to his son, who died shortly afterwards. The man claimed that the son was administered some drugs on Wednesday and vomited after each injection.
He stressed that a nurse administered the four injections to the child without eating food, and the child died.
The video also showed the child’s lifeless body on a stretcher with the father crying beside him.
