Presidential candidate of the APC Bola Tinubu says Nigeria must improve on governance to care for the sick, feed the hungry and create jobs for unemployed youth.

“We still have work to do in perfecting our form of governance such that government will always and completely be for, of, by and because of the people,” said Mr Tinubu in a statement released in his name to commemorate Nigeria’s 62nd Independence Day anniversary on Saturday.

“In seeking national improvement, we must join hands in growing the economy, creating jobs, feeding the hungry, educating our youth, caring for the sick and protecting our people and their way of life from evil and misguided foes who seek to destroy all that is good.”

The APC flag bearer is currently recuperating from fatigue in London, his associates claimed earlier as tongues wagged about his whereabouts and healthiness during the week.

A photo of Mr Tinubu with some associates in London was circulated to douse concerns but it stirred further controversy as the politician appeared to have an undercloth device believed to be a ‘catheter bag’ strapped to his weight and wet

Concerns about Mr Tinubu’s frail health and his feebleness to lead Africa’s most populous nation have remained rife, ahead of next year’s general elections.

Spokespeople for Mr Tinubu’s campaign did not return requests seeking comments about the protruding object under their principal’s clothes in London.
