Liverpool title hope slip after draw with Brighton

Liverpool narrowly escaped defeat at Anfield in the English Premier League game on Saturday, drawing 3-3 against Brighton.
With the points shared, Liverpool’s title hope suffered another setback as the once verile title contender seemed to have lost their mojo.
It took the visitors four minutes to shake the Liverpool net, courtesy of a goal by Leandro Trossard, thereafter, leaving the home side to play catch up.
The Reds were yet to recover from the shock when Trossard struck again in the 17th minute, doubling Brigton’s lead.
Trossard became first visiting player to net first-half brace at Anfield in the EPL since October 2008, when Amr Zaki of Wigan netted twice before first half break.
But Firmino came to the rescue for Liverpool netting twice for The Reds in the 33rd and 54th minutes of the game, rekindling hope for the home side.
An own goal by Brigton’s Adam Webster in the 63rd minute put Liverpool ahead. However, Trossard pulled a late equaliser for Brighton, brining the scores to 3-3 and his goal tally today to three.
Liverpool are now 9th on the EPL log, with 10 points in seven games, 11 points behind Arsenal who sit atop the table.
