US Consulate opens education centre in Ibadan

“EducationUSA presents an opportunity for young Nigerians to obtain a world-class education in the United States.”

• February 11, 2021

The United States Consulate says it has opened its EducationUSA advising centre in Ibadan.

In a statement sent to Peoples Gazette on Wednesday, the consulate’s spokesperson, Stephen Ibelli, said the centre would help prospective undergraduate and graduate students sail the admission process by providing comprehensive and accurate information about the credited 4,000 higher institutions in the US.

Ibelli noted that the centre would offer a regular schedule of individual, group, and online advising sessions to enable more students to pursue their dreams in studying in the United States.

“Nigeria is home to so many talented, ambitious young people, who often ask us about studying in the United States. EducationUSA presents an opportunity for young Nigerians to obtain a world-class education in the United States and then return home to contribute to Nigeria’s economic growth and development,” Ibelli added.

The statement further urged young Nigerians who want to study in the US to visit the centre as students will have the opportunity to explore the diversity and vitality of higher education in the country.
