American musician Sean Combs, popularly known as Diddy, has joined the league of celebrity billionaires in the United States.

Former Forbes entertainment editor Zack O’Malley Greenburg, said Diddy now places second on the 2022 list of hip-hop’s wealthiest artists as his net worth soars to $1 billion.

The 52-year-old musician and businessman displaced Kanye West and ranks behind Jay Z.

According to Zack O’Malley Greenburg, JAY-Z is worth $1.5 billion, Diddy $1 billion, Kanye West $500 million, Berner $410 million, and Dr Dre $400 million.

Outside music, Diddy’s Ciroc partnership with Diageo is estimated to rake in $60 million annually.

Diddy’s billion-dollar fortune is due in part to his Ciroc partnership with Diageo, which draws in $60 million annually. His other investments include DeLeón Tequila and REVOLT media network.

West dropped from the second position in the wake of his anti-Semitic and anti-Black comments that cost him his lucrative Adidas partnership, dwindling his wealth from a reported $2 billion to around $500 million.
