Quadri Aruna drops in latest table tennis world rankings

Nigeria’s Quadri Aruna has dropped a position in the latest World Table Tennis rankings released by the body on Tuesday morning, following Aruna’s poor performances in recent world events.
The 34-year-old dropped from 14th in the world rankings to 15th, with 1745 as the points accumulation.
The drop directly resultED from Aruna’s poor performance at the WTT championship in Macao and WTT Cup finals in China. Aruna crashed out in the first round of both tournaments in two weeks.
Meanwhile, he remains the highest-ranking African player in the world.
The Chinese trio of Fan Zhendong, Ma Long, and Wang Chuqin occupy the top three positions in the world, respectively, as Tomokazu Harimoto of Japan and Sweden’s Truls Moregard complete the top five.
Liang Jingkun of China, Brazil’s Hugo Calderano, Lin Yun-Ju of China, Germany’s Dimitrij Ovtcharov and Slovenia’s Darko Jorgic are in the world’s top 10 best players.
