Arsenal regain Premier League top spot with win over Chelsea

Brazilian defender Gabriel was the hero in Sunday’s tea time London Derby at Stamford Bridge as Arsenal returned to the top of the Premier League courtesy of a 1-0 victory.
Mikel Arteta’s men needed a victory to usurp Manchester City at the top of the league after the defending champions earned maximum points at home to Fulham on Saturday, and the Gunner didn’t take long to stamp their authority on the game.
Ben White failed to hit the target in successive attempts before Gabriel Jesus missed a header from point-blank range after good work from Gabriel Martinelli on the left.
Chelsea struggled to muster any attempts, and in the second half, Gabriel helped the ball across the line after a Bukayo Saka corner-kick managed to evade everyone in the penalty area.
Arsenal now have 34 points from 13 games this season and sit top of the league, two points clear of Manchester City.
