Presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar, has admitted that his party, the Peoples Democratic Party, is corrupt but says the ruling All Progressives Congress is more corrupt.

Mr Abubakar disclosed this in his interview with Voice of America. He shared the interview on his Facebook page on Sunday.

“But we have come to realised that the APC is even more corrupt than the PDP,” Mr Abubakar said when confronted with his party’s corruption perception.

Asked what he would tell Nigerians for them to vote him and his party in the 2023 election, Mr Atiku said “I will remind them (Nigeria) of the prosperity the PDP brought to Nigeria between 1999 and the insecurity and poverty the APC has bought since they came to power.”

Speaking further, Mr Abubakar said “if you look at all the parameters, economic parameters, peace and security, Nigeria has fared natter under the PDP.”

Mr Atiku, 75, a former vice president between 1999-2007, will be up against Bola Tinubu of the APC, Labour Party’s Peter Obi and host of other candidates for Nigeria’s top job in next year’s election.
