Brig. Gen. Raymond Utsaha, the Brigade Commander, 32 Artillery Brigade, Owena Cantonment Akure, says the brigade will collaborate with other security agencies in Ondo to protect lives and property.

Mr. Utsaha made the call on Monday during a courtesy visit to the office of the commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Akure.

The commander said security was a collective responsibility that all security agencies should shoulder.

He added that his visit to the NSCDC was to strengthen the long-existing relationship between the 32 Brigade Artillery Regiment and the NSCDC, Ondo State Command.

In his response, the Ondo NSCDC Commandant, Eweka Edenabu, said the army had always taken the lead in enforcing the country’s security.

Mr. Edanabu noted that with the sustained collaboration with the NSCDC, the fight against crimes would be more decisive.

He said the command had enjoyed a cordial working relationship with the brigade over time and added that the synergy level had enhanced the continuous success recorded in the Crocodile Smile Operations and other joint task force operations.
