Burna Boy, Ayra Starr, Rema make Obama’s favourite music of 2022

Songs by Nigerian musical artists Burna Boy, Aura Starr and Rema have been listed in former president U.S. president Barack Obama’s favourite music for 2022.
Mr Obama has made a habit of sharing a compilation of his playlist, movies and books which has kept him through the preceding months.
In a social post on Friday, the former senator published a list of 25 favourite songs of 2022, featuring the three Nigerian superstars.
“I always enjoy sharing my end of year music playlist with all of you – and this year we heard a lot of great songs. Here are some of my favorites,” he said.
Burna Boy born Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, made the list with his Grammy-nominated ‘Last Last’ single off the Grammy-nominated ‘Love, Damini’ album.
Ayra Starr’s recent release ‘Rush’ and her Mavin record label mate, Rema’s widely-acclaimed ‘Calm Down’ are also in the 25-song list.
Other popular songs on the list also include ‘Pull Up’ by Jamaican singer, Koffee, ‘The Heart Part 5’ by American rapper, Kendrick Lamar, ‘About Damn Time’ by American singer, Lizzo and ‘Shirt’ by SZA.
