Pharrell Williams named Louis Vuitton creative director

Popular French fashion brand, Louis Vuitton, has announced Pharell Williams as its new creative director for men’s fashion.
The news was announced on Tuesday via a post on the French fashion label’s Twitter account.
In his new role, Pharrell will succeed Virgil Abloh who passed away in November 2021.
The company also disclosed that it will exhibit American record producer’s debut collection during the upcoming Men’s Fashion Week in Paris in June.
Fastcompany.com reports that the 49-year-old artist collaborated with Louis Vuitton in 2004 on a line of eyeglasses, which was eventually relaunched in 2008 by the late Virgil Abloh.
Pharell began his musical career with the hip-hop group Neptunes in the 90s. He later went solo and was popularly known for his hit single “Happy” which he released in 2013.
