BVAS’ failure kept me on queue for hours: Amosun

The former governor of Ogun State, Ibikunle Amosun, has lamented the failure of the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System, BVAS, which kept him and other voters at Unit 8, Ward 6, Itoko area of Abeokuta waiting on the queue for hours.
Mr Amosun who drove himself in a black G-Wagon SUV to the the polling unit in the company his wife, Olufunso Amosun, and many supporters at 11:17 a.m. could not cast his vote for close to two hours.
The senator, who eventually cast his vote said he needed to make some calls to INEC office before they sent technicians who came to fix the BVAS.
Mr Amosun, speaking with journalists after casting his vote said, “Although, a new born baby cannot walk same day he is born, but INEC need to improve on the technology (BVAS).
“While waiting for hours on the queue, I had to put some calls through to INEC office informing the commission that the BVAS here was not working before they sent technician to come and fix it.
After voting, I still have to wait to ensure no other interested voter is disallowed from expressing his franchise as a result of BVAS’ failure.”
