Guber Polls: Deregistered political parties endorse APC candidate in Kaduna

The Amalgamation of Deregistered Political Parties of Nigeria (ADPPN) has endorsed the APC governorship flag bearer of Kaduna, Uba Sani, ahead of Saturday’s election.
The secretary of the ADPPN, Matoh Yakubu, made the endorsement while addressing journalists at the NUJ secretariat in Kaduna.
Mr Yakubu said the amalgamated parties were deregistered after the 2019 general elections.
“Before arriving at this juncture, we consulted widely with our members, network of stakeholders and opinion leaders; we appraised them of the clear record of achievements of Sen. Uba Sani,” he said.
Mr Yakubu said that the wide-ranging consultations gave them the mandate to declare support in the news conference.
He noted that they were disturbed by the negative signals from some political parties that had decided to create a political gimmick called the “Muslim-Muslim” ticket.
“This phrase is a coinage of the opposition in Kaduna State; the APC only gave voice to our women who have been kept in the backyard for long and for the last four years, the performance of Kaduna State women in governance is clear to everyone to see.
“We state clearly that the combination of Sen. Uba Sani and Dr Hadiza Balarabe is a strategic strike at the political balancing act.
“This political brinkmanship is giving the opposition a nightmare because the strategy has provided Kaduna State with unprecedented development strides in the annals of the history of Kaduna State,” Mr Yakubu said.
He said they took a cursory look into some monumental achievements that elevated Mr Sani above other party candidates.
The secretary further noted that their endorsement came with full support to deploy their team to serve as canvassers, street captains, gate-keepers and anti-rigging squad to help ensure that the APC and Mr Sani emerge victorious in the governorship election.
He commiserated with the government and people of Kaduna on the unfortunate violence that led to the loss of lives in some parts of Zangon Kataf LGA in the past two days.
