Six individuals have been tried and convicted of several crimes relating to the January 6 Capitol attack.

These individuals are marched into the Capitol alongside members of the Oath Keepers group in an invasion aimed at upturning the November 2020 United States presidential election.

Sandra Parker, Laura Steele, Connie Meggs, and William Isaacs were four of them who were found guilty of conspiring to obstruct the work of Congress and a variety of other offences like destroying federal property and conspiring to prevent congressmen from carrying out their jobs.

Bennie Parker and Michael Greene, two more people who were close friends with Stewart Rhodes, the Oath Keepers’ commander, were found guilty of illegally entering and residing on the capitol grounds.

With the verdict, the third and last trial that looked at the far-right organisation’s role in what the U.S. continues to regard as an attack on its capital has come to a conclusion.
