Edochie tells Funke Akindele to restore her deleted governorship campaign posts

Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie, has commended his colleague, Funke Akindele, on her bold political step in contesting the office of the deputy governor of Lagos State.
In an Instagram post praising Akindele, he advised her to return her campaign photos to her page because they would remind her of her success and battle scars.
The actor said those campaign pictures deserved to be on her page as they were part of her battle scars, urging her to wear them proudly.
“You are a warrior; your campaign pictures are part of your battle scars. Wear them proudly. Those pictures deserve to remain on your page forever,” Edochie told Akindele.
Akindele, who contested on the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) platform alongside Abdulazeez (Jandor) Adeiran, lost her deputy governorship bid to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the poll.
The actress subsequently deleted campaign photos on her Instagram page.
He added that those photos were a historic moment for her and a rare privilege, and such should not be discouraged by what people say or think.
“Don’t be discouraged by those who are laughing at you for not winning. Na childish brain dey worry dem. Never give up. In 2017 I ran for governor of my state, from start to finish, and it is one of the best things I have done in my life,” said the actor.
Edochie added, “One of my proudest moments. I learnt a lot. My campaign pictures are still on my page, my battle scars.”
