Flutterwave founder Olugbenga Agboola joins board of Lagoon Hospital as co-owner

Lagoon Hospital, a top private tertiary care and healthcare service provider in Nigeria, has appointed Olugbenga Agboola OON, the co-founder and CEO of Flutterwave, as a director alongside Fola Laoye.
This follows a part acquisition of the healthcare company by the tech entrepreneur.
The acquisition of Lagoon Hospital was fully completed by Iwosan Investments Limited in 2021, following a successful investment round from various local and foreign investors. Lagoon Hospital expressed its happiness in welcoming Mr Agboola to its board of directors via its official Twitter page.
The launch of a multi-specialist facility and a cardiology and cardiac health management centre in Lagos coincided with the announcement, which aims to provide high-quality medical care to people seeking advanced treatments from renowned clinical and surgical super-specialists.
Lagoon Hospital described the facility as a carefully modelled hospital for individuals seeking wholesome and advanced medical care delivered by distinguished clinical and surgical super-specialists.
The facility offers quicker access to interventional cardiology, interventional radiology, and laparoscopic services with optimal outcomes, benefiting both Nigerians and the international community. The centre’s launch comes at a crucial time when there is a need for enhanced specialist services in Nigeria’s health sector.
Olugbenga Agboola OON and other appointees were welcomed by Dr Ayobami Kuyoro, Managing Director of Iwosan Hospitals Victoria Island, and Dr Idowu Adebiyi, Group Head of Operations at Iwosan Investments.
