Makinde pledges to take Oyo on sustainability path

The governor was at the church for a thanksgiving service as part of the activities lined up for his inauguration on Monday.

Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has pledged to take the state on a sustainability path during his second term in office.

Mr Makinde made the pledge on Sunday while addressing the congregation at the Christ Life Church, Olaogun, Ibadan.

The governor was at the church for a thanksgiving service as part of the activities lined up for his inauguration on Monday.

“The sustainable development of Oyo State 2023-2027 begins on Monday, as there won’t be network failure in the governance of the state.

“Because it is the Will of God to return for the second tenure. He (God) will make out the Will for us to take Oyo State on the sustainability path,” said Mr Makinde.

While X-raying the achievements of his administration in the last four years, he promised to build on the developmental programmes already in place.

The governor assured all the state residents of his commitment to the socioeconomic development of the entire state.

He urged all men of God not to relent in praying for his government to succeed.

In his sermon, Rev. Supo Ayokunle, the former president, Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), urged Mr Makinde to seek the face of God in all his endeavours.
